Stretching about 18 km in length with a surface area of 27 square kilometers and a maximum depth of 120 meters, the lake sits at an altitude of 3,480 meters\u2014making it one of the lowest-elevation large lakes in Tibet. As its name suggests, the lake shimmers in a delicate, jade-like green\u2014pure and translucent. The water is so clear you can see schools of fish swimming two to three meters below.
